I am a nurse, mom, creator, artist, hairstylist, pet owner, partner, queer, and overall a down to earth person who enjoys connecting to people and nature.

I am turning the corner to 40 years old this year. I have 2 teenagers and an adult child. I am a budding entrepreneur about to start a training business using my nursing skills. I have been a bedside nurse for almost a decade in labor and delivery. I am now per diem at that job, and I am expanding a training business that I have been working on for over 3 years. In that job I am an educator, teaching people who work for health and human service agencies to pass medication. I have become passionate about teaching, and learning new ways to connect information to retention for adult learners.

I am also an artist. I started playing the guitar and banjo a few years ago. I have written over a dozen songs. I started painting a year ago for fun, and that is my relaxation space. I love creative writing and often find myself jotting down short poems in the midst of my busy day. My art is my refuge.

I am not the nurse that makes nursing my whole life. JOY is my whole life. Spending time at home, creating, watching my children grow, spending quality time with my partner. Nursing is a gateway to having more resources so that I can enjoy life. I love my nursing career, and I love my life outside of that even more.
